Your Love Affair with Basketball...
Probably began that day you made five uncontested lay-ups in a row on a rusting, slightly-bent backboard in a muddy farmyard, noisy city street or sweat-filled gym somewhere in America.....
And you've been happily dribbling and shooting "hoops" ever since-
on every imaginable court and against every imaginable player: Big guys, little guys, fast guys, old guys, bald 'n beefy guys, guys with beards 'n Afro's, guys with no teeth or socks but plenty of elbows, goofy guys with goofier shorts, guys who can jump 'n jam, guys always bitchin' or cryin' "foul" , guys who never miss a shot or want to leave the game, guys who talk trash but never pass, and now, guys - and gals -
in chairs who can shoot the lights out !-Dieter Stark
